Voice Control

LIMA's voice control understands natural language, so you can give commands the same way you'd ask a person for help.

Basic actions

  • Minimise or maximise the current window
  • Click buttons and links by name
  • Scroll up or down
  • Dictate and edit text in any input field

Application management

  • Launch any installed application by name
  • Open Windows Settings pages by name (e.g. "open Bluetooth settings")

Web browsing

  • Open a website or search the web by voice
  • Click links and fill in forms by voice
  • Go back, forward, or refresh by asking LIMA to click the browser's on-screen buttons

Screen Reading & Observation

LIMA reads your screen using AI — it looks at what is actually shown, not only the labels apps hand to a screen reader. This means it can describe content that traditional screen readers cannot reach.

  • Text reading — reads visible text on any window, webpage, or document
  • Image description — AI describes photos, diagrams, charts, and graphs in plain language
  • Descriptive Video Service (DVS) — automatically narrates what is happening on screen during YouTube and Facebook videos, giving you an audio description of the visual content
  • Dynamic Website Narration (DWN) — automatically reads out changes on a webpage as you browse, keeping you informed of live-updating content

Computer Automation

Tell LIMA to carry out multi-step tasks in one instruction:

"Open my email, find the latest message from Sarah, and read it to me."

LIMA plans and executes sequences of actions automatically.

Memory

LIMA can remember information across sessions. Ask it to remember a fact, preference, or file location and it will recall it in future conversations. Memory holds up to 10 stored facts; once it's full, LIMA automatically replaces the oldest fact to make room for a new one. See Commands & Tools for details.

Dual Input Methods

Every feature in LIMA is available via both voice and keyboard — you can mix them freely:

Method How to activate
Voice Press Ctrl+Alt+U to start voice mode. Enable voice mode on startup in Settings, then Features, to activate automatically on launch.
Keyboard Press Ctrl+Alt+H to open the quick input field

Voice mode turns off when idle

To avoid picking up background audio when you step away, voice mode switches itself off automatically after 15 minutes with no speech. Press Ctrl+Alt+U to start it again whenever you need it.

  • Tagalog (Filipino)

You can set your preferred language in Settings, then Audio.
