Quick Start¶
This guide gets you from install to your first voice command in five steps.
Step 1 — Launch LIMA¶
Open LIMA from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. The LIMA status bar appears in the corner of your screen, showing the current listening state.
Step 2 — Activate voice input¶
Press Ctrl+Alt+U to start voice mode. The status bar turns green when LIMA is listening. Press Ctrl+Alt+U again to stop.
Step 3 — Give your first command¶
Try a simple command to get familiar with how LIMA responds:
"What's on my screen?"
LIMA will describe the currently focused window in natural language.
Step 4 — Try a web task¶
"Open Google Chrome and search for the weather in Dublin."
LIMA interprets the full instruction and carries it out step by step — no need to break it into smaller commands.
Step 5 — Use quick input¶
If you prefer not to use your voice, every LIMA feature is also reachable by keyboard. Press Ctrl+Alt+H to open the quick input field, then type your command and press Enter.
